Tester Settings



This will be your first stop as a new user of the app! You will fill out these three tabs first: Profile, which contains information about you, the tester; then your Test Gauge information; and finally, you will create a signature that will appear on all generated PDF reports. Once this information is entered, it will remain unchanged unless you click the update button on the tab where you make changes.

This outlines the testing process in our app. First, you’ll fill out the Jobsite and Assembly Information. Based on the Assembly Type you select, a corresponding Report screen will appear where you can perform your test, enter values, and mark the assembly as pass or fail. After completing all fields, review the information for accuracy, then scroll down and tap Create Report!




Once you create the report, you will be able to save, text, email, or store your PDF report in the file drive of your choice. The created report will be named using the date and the serial number of the assembly for easy identification. After that, when you return to the report screen, you will receive a popup asking if you want to reset the forms. Unlike the reset buttons on each tab, this popup will reset all forms.
Now, if you have multiple assemblies on the same jobsite, you can save time by canceling the reset. This allows you to go back to the assembly form, fill it out, and create a new report for a different assembly while keeping the jobsite information the same, streamlining your workflow.
Import Work Order


With the Import Work Order button, you can import work orders created using our computer program, The Backflow Assistant Work Order Utility. Once you create the work order with the utility, you can save and send it to the tester via your preferred method. By default, the work order will be named using the format: Date.ContactOwner.SerialNumber.
When imported into the app, it will automatically fill out the Jobsite and Assembly tabs. If any fields were missed during work order creation due to unknown information—such as size—it will leave those blank in the Assembly tab for you to fill in when you arrive at the assembly.
This feature was designed to save time on the day of testing. You can pre-create work orders in advance, and on testing day simply load the work order for that jobsite, perform the test, and create the report, making your workflow faster and more efficient.
The utility is currently available for download on macOS, with Windows support coming soon.
